Used for ground shafting applications, self-aligning ball bearings adjust during operation to “correct” for errors in mounting or shaft deflection. The balls, cage and inner ring rotate to keep the bearing aligned. Self-aligned bearings run cooler at extremely high speeds. They are also able to withstand heavy stress  load applications where misalignment between the housing and shaft is expected. Attributes include:
